Probability of a train being delayed

If you are going to take the train every morning in order to go to work, you may have wondered about the probability of the train being delayed. Suppose you have measured the exact time of train arrivals as compared to the schedule over more than a year, resulting in a data set of about 400 days.

Use the  DataLab  to find answers to the following questions:
 

• What are the chances that the train arrives earlier than the scheduled time?
• What are your chances of catching the train if you are five minutes late ?
• Is the data normally distributed? Explain your arguments.
